A. Airborne: Infected person coughs or sneezes germ into air and another person breathes it in. (cold, measles)
B. Fecal/ oral: Infected persons stool carries germ and contaminates food or water, which is eaten or drunk by another person (Hep A)
C. Direct contact: A person with a skin infecton spreads by touching another person.
D. Vector borne: A Mosquito, insect or other being bites an infected person and carries germ to another person.
E. Sexual: Germ is spread from one person to another thru sexual contact.
F. Blood Borne: Blood from infected person gets into bloodstream of another person.

AIDS:
Spread: unprotected sexual contact, sharing needles, birth, blood to blood contact, breast feeding.
Symptoms: Flu-like: achy, tired, chronic illnesses.
Treatment: AZT, DDI, Protease Inhibitors.

Hepatitis:
Spread: A thru contaminated food and water. B thru blood and sexual contact.
Symptoms: Jaundice, achy, nausea
Treatment: Gamma Globulin shots, immune globulin shots. Time.

Mononucleosis:
Spread: thru saliva, kissing and sharing eating utensils.
Symptoms: tired, swollen lymph glands, sore throat.
Treatment: rest

Influenza:
Spread: airborne
Symptoms: achy tired, dry cough, fever
treatment: rest and fluids.
