2. Advertising information. Techniques used:

* Testimonial: An expert or famous person telling you to buy something.
* If/then: If you buy this, then...(Ex: If you drink this then you will be very sexy)
* Comparison: To products being compared to one another.
* Sex appeal: Can be use of colors, people, settings.
* Bandwagon: Join the crowd everyone is doing it!!
* Symbolism: used in almost every ad. Examples:
Animals, (such as NFL teams, it's not the Philadelphia pigeons for a reason)
Names,(crown..., Canadian...)
Settings, (beaches, forests, snow)
People, (rich, poor, average, cowboy’s)
Colors, (royalty, blues, green’s, reds) Holiday’s
*Association: one product associates itself with another product.
